Amanda Holden, a judge on ITV1’s reality television show Britain’s Got Talent, has struck out against those who say she is a diva.
The 40-year-old denied accusations that she has used her looks to achieve fame and success and denies having cosmetic surgery to stay looking young. She has however revealed that she has had Botox injections to smooth out lines and wrinkles but that she wouldn’t consider cosmetic surgery.
In an interview with STV.com, Holden said: “I have always looked young, that’s the thing. Just before Christmas I bought a bottle of Baileys in Tesco and the man asked me for ID.
“I couldn’t believe it. I said, ‘Look, I am going to be 40 in two months, but I love you for asking’.”
The blonde bombshell is currently presiding over comedian Michael McIntyre and television legend David Hasselhoff on the judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent.
Actress and talent show judge Amanda Holden has finally confirmed that her youthful good looks are partly a result of non-invasive cosmetics work.
Following months of speculation that the Britain's Got Talent panel member has benefited from Botox, the star revealed that she did opt for the procedure after she started to worry about visible signs of ageing.
Speaking to the News of the World, Holden explained that she is happy with the work and would consider similar cosmetics work in the future.
"I was out in South Africa filming Wild at Heart last year and I was constantly frowning in the sun," she said.
"I noticed crow's feet and that's when I had it.
"As an actress, Botox is a bit of a stupid thing because you need a moveable face. But my frown's back so it is definitely something I will consider again."
She added that she doesn't know a "single person who has not had something done", highlighting the soaring popularity of both invasive and non-invasive cosmetic surgery procedures among both celebrities and those from other walks of life.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has an on again off again relationship with Botox and plastic surgery. Despite claims that she is off, Makemeheal.com suspects that she is on again.
39-year old Amanda Holden once proclaimed her love of Botox(See Make Me Heal’s story on Amanda Holden’s Botox injections), although more recently she has denounced it. Now it seems she has turned to the laser treatment Thermage to get rid of wrinkles.
“Amanda sometimes has trouble with her skin and she wants to avoid having to wear thick cover-up, so she has resorted to Dr Rakus’s Thermage treatment to help smooth out her skin.”
“Amanda has been using Dr Rakus for Botox for years and is always popping into the clinic for a top-up.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Amanda’s lips appear very misshapen. That could just be a very bad photograph or from dermal filler injections to her lips. She may have had Thermage treatments to give her that very smooth complexion, but Thermage would not plump up her lips like that.”
On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia reports, “ Ms Holden has at the very least used fillers on her nasolabial folds (Laugh lines) and lips. She has likely also had her eyes done and is a Botulinium toxin user. The lips look funky as they were probably very recently treated. This will settle down.”
Dr. Paul A. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “It is possible that Amanda Holden has had both fillers and Botox. Overall, she does not appear overdone. Her look is natural, and she would not benefit from any other work at this time.”
Amanda looks fantastic, whatever she is doing to her skin, but her lips are beginning to look odd, so she should consider laying off the lip injections, whether or not she admits to getting them.
